Lebanese actress Jessica Kahawaty traveled to Bangladesh on an official and emergency mission with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to support her mission with the Rohingya who fled from Myanmar to Cox’s Bazar in Kutupalong camp.
Kahawaty expressed her happiness at participating in this humanitarian mission and revealed that she met with the organizers during her assistance in the distribution of relief materials. She also met with young refugees who volunteered to help.
“I met a number of children who cared about other children. It was a painful sight,” she said. “These children have the right to live their childhood.”
