The OIC will discuss the issue of Rohingya at its next session

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has included the Rohingya issue on the agenda of the 44th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of Member States to be hosted by the capital of Côte d’Ivoire, Abidjan, from 10 to 11 July 2017 under the theme “The Role of Youth, Peace and Development in a World in Solidarity.”.
The meeting will tackle the humanitarian situation in many countries, especially in Somalia, Nigeria, and the countries of the Lake Chad region. The meeting also tackles the developments in the regional and international arenas, especially the Palestinian issue and the situation in Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Libya and Afghanistan.
As well as the humanitarian and political situation in the Central African Republic.
The Western Muslim contact group is holding a meeting on the sidelines of the conference alongside the meeting of the ministerial group on Jammu and Kashmir.

The session will also discuss economic, cultural, social and media developments, as well as the issues of youth, women, science and technology, and the ongoing efforts to implement the ten-year program of action 2015-2025.
