Rohingya Muslims living in refugee camps in Bangladesh welcomed the report of the United Nations released on last Friday about the persecution to which they are exposed in Myanmar.
The report pointed out that the Myanmar military killed hundreds of Rohingya Muslim minority and committed arson, rape and ethnic cleansing crimes during the military campaign carried out in the Arakan state since last October.
Muhammad Yunus, one of the refugees to Bangladesh, he said: “After a long wait, the United Nations issued a statement to the world that we are suffering from objectively real persecution.”
He added: “I thank the United Nations. I hope that they will find a quick solution to our problem. “
It is noteworthy that the Myanmar army launched broad campaigns of destruction on 10th October of last year in Arakan State.
