Newspaper agency ‘the stateless” reported that a Rohingya Muslim young man in the city of Teknaf, Bangladesh was subjected to severe bleeding after being shot in the back on Sunday night by a local Bangladeshi gang on the road.
According to what reported in the newspaper, eyewitness said – a Bangladeshi man the victim’s friend was too accompanied by him, they were on a motorcycle towards “Lida“ Rohingya refugee camp.
The local gang fired into the air to disperse the crowds around before targeting the Rohingya man.
The witness explained that the Rohingya man lost consciousness after he bled profusely and was taken to the hospital in Teknaf and the victim still remains in critical stage.
To cover the treatment cost the victim’s family pawned their card granted to them by the United nations, which means lack of access to food to family until he is released from hospital.
It is noteworthy that “Lida” a refugee camp in Bangladesh adjacent to the border of Myanmar and has a more than 15-thousand Rohingya refugees those are not registered in the United Nations, along with more than 300 thousand refugees in another camp.
