Pakistan supports any initiative aimed at supporting Rohingya Muslims

Pakistani Prime Minister Shahed Khakan Abbasi expressed deep concern about the situation of Rohingya Muslims facing ethnic cleansing and forced displacement in Arakan province of Myanmar.
He stressed Pakistan’s readiness to support any initiative taken by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to support the Rohingya Muslims.
Made the remarks at a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on the sidelines of the annual session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Pakistan was concerned about the situation of Muslims in Myanmar and called upon the OIC to continue to press the United Nations to act in that regard and to commit the Government of Myanmar to grant equal rights to Rohingya Muslims, while ensuring their right to live and move without discrimination
