At the end of the month of Ramadan, Hayat Foundation announced that it has concluded two Iftar projects those were carried out for the Rohingya Muslims in Arakan state and the Bangladesh-Myanmar border.
Director of the Foundation Mr. Abdul Aziz bin Mirdah said that Iftar project in Arakan targeted in particular affected areas in the north of Maungdaw and south of Buthidaung and camps in the capital of the state Akyab.
According to Bin Mirdah, the number of beneficiaries in the project was 171,000, including more than 96,000 Rohingya people in more than 20 camps.
Bin Mirdah said that the project of Eid clothing for widows and orphans is particularly concentrated within Arakan and the foundation was able to distribute 464 clothing that smoothed males and females.
For his part, Sayed Alam – one of the supervisors of the camps in Arakan – thanked the Director of the organization and its employees for their generosity and their continued support in the relief of the Rohingya, especially during Ramadan and Eid.
