IUMS: Support Rohingya people is the duty of Muslims

The general secretary of the International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) Dr. Ali Mohiuddin Al Qaradaghi calls for the support of the Rohingya people and said: “It is the duty of all Muslims.”
This came in the opening of the “Global Rohingya Center” branch in the Turkish city of Istanbul.
Al Qaradaghi participated in the meeting held on the occasion of the opening of the branch with a number of representatives of Islamic countries and civil society organizations.
Following the introduction with short film about the tragic conditions experienced by the Muslims in Arakan province of Myanmar, participants discussed ways to solve the existing problems in the region. The president of the Global Rohingya Center (GRC) Abdullah Maruf expressed his gratitude for the visit of Turkish Prime Minister Ahmed Davutoglu to Arakan province, noting that they made the decision to open a branch in Istanbul for their belief that the Turkish people will stand by their side.
