Kuwait’s emergency clause on Rohingya Muslims was officially published on the website of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), the speaker of the National Assembly said on Wednesday, hoping to gather as many votes as possible for approval.
National Assembly Speaker Mr. Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim told reporters at the National Assembly that the Parliamentary Division will participate in the conference of the Union, which will be held in the Russian city of Saint Petersburg from October 13 to 18, noting the convening of coordination meetings at the Arab and Islamic level to determine the option of these countries for the future presidency of the Union.
The members of the Parliamentary Division would be participating in the Committees in which they had been elected at the previous session.
On Sunday, the speaker of the National Assembly announced that Kuwait had officially passed an emergency clause on the Rohingya issue to vote as an emergency item at the conference.
