Distributed the food parcels by “Emergency Relief” Committee of the Federation of Arabian Doctors to the Rohingya Muslims of Arakan state “Rakhine” in Burma after they referred to reports of deteriorating humanitarian conditions and food shortages amid a state of repression and persecution of Muslim minorities there.…
Dr. Jamal Abdul Salam Assistant Secretary General of the Arabian Doctors Union and the President of the relief and development sector, pointed out that “relief and emergency” committee has distributed food parcels which was benefited by more than 800 Muslim family and within “the fight against hunger and malnutrition” project, which the Commission has worked on its implementation in Burma this year during the holy month of Ramadan and its cost amounted to be about 50 thousand dollars.
For his part, Prof. Dr. Osama Raslan Secretary General of the Arabian Doctors Union called on all international parties and human rights organizations, to take over the role of the humanitarian to adopt the issue of minorities ” Rohingya Muslims ” in Burma and put their cause in international forums and to take all steps to stop the violence and displacement forced who were targeted as a Muslim minority.
The “Emergency Relief” Committee for the Federation of Arabian doctors had established a mosque and a school and about 304 housing units in Burma in 2013 and also expected to see further this year for relief and development projects for Muslim minorities there during the coming period.
