“Hayat” Foundation implements sustainable projects for the Rohingya refugees detained in Thailand

Hayat humanitarian relief organization carried out projects for the benefit of Rohingya refugees detained in shelter centers of southern Thailand in a bid to improve their living conditions and the implementation of sustainable projects.

Foundation director Abdulaziz bin Mirdah said he visited with a delegation of Global Rohingya center to check on arrested Rohingyas in detention centers and gave them food and medicines.

Bin Mirdah explained that the delegation visited a shelter for Rohingya women and children, gave them relief aid to improve the living conditions for them, things such as sewing machines, washing machines, equipping the kitchen and fans for ventilation also the rehabilitation and restoration of useable water and provided holiday gifts for children including some lifesaving courses on health assistance.

Bin Mirdah also confirmed that he inspected the conditions of refugees and helped them to communicate with their families abroad regarding their whereabouts.

Noor Ali Salim one of members of the delegation noted that the delegation worked very hard with the Thai authorities in order to seek refugee output to improve their living conditions, ways to protect them from human trafficking and the opening of future prospects for cooperation between the two parties regarding the Rohingya refugees.
