Yemen thanked Malaysia and the Organization for Islamic Cooperation on hosting a meeting to discuss the Rohingya issue

Yemen ‘s government expressed gratitude to the Malaysian government and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to its Secretary General Dr. Yousef Al – Othaimeen for hosting a meeting to discuss the ongoing Rohingya issue and the organization ‘s efforts to preserve the Islamic solidarity and the defense of the Muslim Ummah.

This came from Yemen ‘s ambassador to Malaysia Dr. Adel Mohammed Bahamid who headed the delegation of Yemen in the meeting to discuss the Rohingya issue on Thursday in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur.

Bahamid in his speech that this meeting was taking place in light of the continuing acts of violence faced by Muslims in the Arakan State of Myanmar and the suffering of being displaced and the difficulty of humanitarian access to them also they are deprived of basic rights, including the right to citizenship , which is guaranteed by international charters and conventions.
