The international Organization for Muslims scholars condemned the attacks by government forces in Myanmar on Rohingya civilians in Arakan State such as besieging villages and killing innocent people.
The organization called on Myanmar government for an end to these campaigns and to abide by international conventions, to protect the rights of religious minorities, also the preservation of the right of its citizens without discrimination, and access to live safely inside Arakan state. The organization also called for relief organizations to alleviate the suffering of those by extending a helping hand to them and provide relief with eagerness.
The body called upon United Nations for the criminalization of all the oppressive practices against them and do their duty to seek protection, as demanded by all international governmental organization and human rights organizations to shoulder their responsibilities towards the ethnic cleansing happening to Rohingyas inside Arakan.
