A delegation from Jordan arrived with Relief Campaign to Rohingya Muslim on Saturday morning in the largest camps in Bangladesh (Kutubalong camp) in preparation for the first batch of aid from the Jordanian people scheduled to begin on Sunday.
The delegation, which included the administrative director of the Jordan Hashemite Chariy Organization Mr. Raad Awad, the program’s director Mr.Marwan Al-Henawi, and the director of the Professional Syndicate Complex Mr. Majdi Al-Samadi discussed the tragic refugee situation in the camp, which includes some 400,000 refugees out of 700,000 refugees fled from Myanmar to Bangladesh to escape the massacres committed against them.
The delegation supervising the campaign launched by the Authority in cooperation with the unions, arranged the delivery of aid, which was purchased in cooperation with local relief organizations.
The campaign delegation is scheduled to start distributing aid to the refugees, consisting of food, cooking equipment and winter clothing.
