Al-Saidi in Mecca talks about the Kingdom’s efforts in serving the cause of the Rohingya

Dr. Mohammed Al-Saidi, the renowned Saudi poet, dedicated this week to Saudi Arabia’s efforts to support the cause of the Rohingya Muslims.
A number of activists and dignitaries from the Rohingya community spoke about the latest developments on the international and local scene and the situation of the refugees in Bangladesh before talking about the efforts of the Saudi government over the past years in serving this cause and embracing the nearly 250,000 people who had fled to it nearly from 70 years old.
Speaking in the sitting, Secretary General of the Rohingya community in Kingdom, Mr. Abdullah Marouf, Rohingya Media Center Director Mr. Salah Abdul-Shakour, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Arakan News Agency Mr. Abdullah Abdulqader and Rohingya educational activist Mr. Abdullah Hafez.
The participants in sitting witnessed a report reviewing the Kingdom’s efforts in international forums, human rights sessions and the statements made by the Kingdom’s leaders, most recently the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz on this issue and the need to solve them during his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The activities of sitting were broadcast directly through Dr. Saidi’s account in Twitter and received follow-up from thousands.
It should be noted that the sittings by Dr. Saidi holds every Tuesday every week at his home in Mecca and hosts scientists and intellectuals and discusses issues affecting the homeland and thought and religion.
