The body of an unidentified child was found on Teknaf Beach in Cox’s Bazar District, Bangladesh, on Thursday, according to local residents and police sources.

According to Arakan Beacon News, the body was recovered in the afternoon near the Maheshkhaliya Para coastal area in Teknaf after police received a report from local residents, said Sub-Inspector Bilal Hossain of the Teknaf Model Police Station.
He added that no identification documents were found on the child, and authorities have so far been unable to determine the child’s identity, age, or place of origin. Police indicated that the investigation is ongoing and that necessary legal procedures are being carried out in accordance with the law.
Preliminary information suggests that the child’s body may have been washed ashore by sea currents, although the exact cause of death has not yet been confirmed.
Local residents expressed deep sorrow over the incident and called on authorities to conduct a thorough investigation to clarify the circumstances of the child’s death and ensure the details of the incident are fully understood.
