Strong winds uprooting the roofs of the Rohingya refugee camps in Bangladesh

Strong winds have uprooted a number of Rohingya refugee camps in Bangladesh and a number of refugee’s health have been affected by climate change, amid fears that the monsoon season, which will cause serious damage to property and lives, is near.

Arakan news agency obtained videos and pictures from Rohingya activists and documented the passage of the storm, the uprooting of the roofs of the camps and the stirring of dust. Activists said the camps of Kutupalong, Balukhali, TangKhali, Lida and others were affected by the storm’s passage and damaged more than 27 refugee camps there.
