India’s Foreign Ministry announced on Friday that more than 40,000 Rohingya Muslims living in India illegally who had fled persecution in Myanmar would continue to be deported.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Mr. Ravish Kumar said in a statement that the Interior Ministry issued a statement on August 9th on the issue of the registration of more than 14,000 Rohingyas inside the country and other reports are estimated to number about 40,000 people, adding that the central government will continue the process of deporting foreigners Who are illegal under one of the articles of the Aliens Act, which explains the methods of treatment with them.
The government statement came after India’s National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) called for the truth about the media reports about plans by the Indian central government to deport some 40,000 Rohingya immigrants residing in various parts of India illegally.
