Hundreds of Rohingyas who fled the hell of the Myanmar aggression died drowning off the Naf River in various locations.
Thousands of women, children and elderly people rushed to the river in the hope of reaching the Bangladeshi side for safety as they were chased by armed Buddhist gangs under the protection of Myanmar troops. Hundreds of them, however, could not withstand the river’s flow. they died drowning, all of them women and children.
The memory goes back to hundreds of victims who drowned in the death ships carrying refugees fleeing Myanmar persecution since the June 2012 crisis.
It should be noted that the continued displacement of the Rohingya and the continuation of the Myanmar forces support to the armed Buddhist extrimists to push them out of the country in the hope to get rid of them from the country for the principle of “Burma for Buddhists.”
