Delegation of (GRC) in Malaysia to hold talks with high-ranking official

Global Rohingya Center (GRC) delegation went to Malaysia for meeting Assistant Malaysian Foreign Minister Dato Abdul Malik bin Abdul Aziz and briefed him on the developments of the crisis of Rohingya Muslims also ways to strengthen relations between the two parties in common interest.

The two sides held talks during the meeting about the Rohingya refugees those lacks access to food and healthcare, despite some of them have refugee card faces these situations including prevent their children from education and treatment in hospitals because there is no such law allowing non-citizens to take advantage of those services.

The Malaysian official Dato Abdul Malik bin Abdul Aziz who is also a member in Human Rights and development Council in Malaysia said “as a humanitarian I think it is necessary for Rohingya children to be educated as well as to improve their living conditions in Malaysia”.

The delegation requested the Malaysian official to improve treatment of the Rohingya and provide them with jobs and alleviate their suffering by the use of diplomatic channels across ASEAN and pressure the government of Burma.

It should be noted that Malaysia hosts more than 150 thousand Rohingya refugees on its territory from those only 50,000 were granted refugee cards.
