The Rohingya Muslims continue to flee Myanmar’s Arakan province to Bangladesh to escape attacks by the Myanmar army and Buddhist militias on their villages.
An Anadolu cameraman captures the Rohingya escape, under difficult conditions as they entered the Bangladeshi border at night.
The Anadolu Agency reporter said he saw the tragedy of the Rohingya during their journey to Bangladesh to escape the massacres and injustice in Arakan province, across the River Naf by swimming, or through shabby boats.
Most of the fleeing Rohingyas are children, women and the elderly, waiting for medical care and other assistance.
The reporter pointed out that among the escapees is a five-day-old baby with a head wound from the attacks.
The baby’s mother, Begum, said her baby was only five days old, had not yet been named, was hit in the head, could not be treated while fleeing, and had not eaten in days.
