The orphaned Rohingya refugee children, who fled from Myanmar to neighboring Bangladesh, found shelter in an Islamic school at a refugee camp in Balukhali in the provincial border town of Coxs-Bazar.
The Islamic school provides food and education to some 25 orphans who witnessed the brutal killings of their family members in an army campaign in Arakan state in western Myanmar.
The school says it is committed to helping them find relatives, while orphans can learn Quran and Arabic at school.
All the children who spoke said that they had family members who died and some were missing.
The military crackdown, which the United Nations said was ethnic cleansing, led to the flight of some 700,000 people from the Muslim Rohingya minority to neighboring Bangladesh.
