A delegation of Rohingya Muslims activists met with the Political diplomats in Burma, two days ago to assess the situation of human rights in areas where ethnics are in conflicts and to ensure that there is religious freedom for all.
During the meeting, they discussed the restoration of full citizenship to Rohingya, and the restoration of the right to vote and resettlement for them in addition to discussing the practices of apartheid hatred and discrimination on the basis of ethnicity and religion, which are exposed by the Government of Burma, and other related subjects.
The meeting included both the ambassador at large for religious freedom in the US Department David Saperstein, the Canadian diplomat Andrew showed, and a member of the Burmese parliament Muslim Rohingya Shwe Maung and political activist Abu Taher Mohammad Anwar head a political party in Burma and human rights activist on women’s issues Wai Wai Nou.
Wai Wai Nou said, The delegation expressed concern during the meeting of the worsening humanitarian crisis in Arakan State and the government continues to drag the white cards of Muslims, which makes them anonymous and prevents them from the right to participate in national elections and referendum.
