Zarif criticizes the international community for ignoring the issue of Myanmar Muslims

The Iranian Foreign Minister , Mohammad Javad Zarif, criticized in his speech before the emergency meeting of foreign ministers of the OIC in Kuala Lumpur , the international community for ignoring to the cause of Muslims in Myanmar, calling on the United Nations to focus on this crisis.
In his speech before the emergency meeting of foreign ministers of the OIC in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday, Zarif condemned the crimes against Muslims in Myanmar.
He pointed Rohingya Muslims are deprived of their legitimate right to citizenship and subjected to organized violence and vast hatred, calling on the Islamic world in support of Rohingya Muslims as a collective duty for every Muslim countries.
Zarif criticized global media for its silent about the situation of Muslims and said that unfortunately the horrific scenes of Muslim children in Myanmar shipwrecked on the shores of the sea absent from the top news media organizations.
Zarif also criticized the international community ignoring theMyanmar Muslims, calling on the United Nations to focus on this crisis, which practically lead to deprive all Muslims in Myanmar of their legitimate right to citizenship.
Zarif called on Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to employ all their means to put pressure on the government of Myanmar to establish the rights of Muslims.
He pointed to the positive steps the Government of Myanmar to move towards democracy and said it should benefit all the people of Myanmar, including Muslims from these procedures.
