Myanmar official’s arbitrariness and fines against Rohingya

Rohingya locals from Naribil village north of  Maungdaw in Arakan State complains of the arbitrariness of government officials in dealing with them and the imposition of heavy fines against them. Agency correspondent reported that the Myanmar official directs trumped-up charges on them like renovating and repairing houses or travel to Bangladesh without official permits, explaining that the fines imposed on each family under the threat of arrest and imprisonment is no less than 100 thousand Myanmar Kyat.
