A security official fined a Rohingya man on charges of communicating with foreign media

A security official imposed financial penalty on an elderly Rohingya (agency retains his name) on charges of leaking news to the foreign media. Agency correspondent reported that the Myanmar official summoned the elderly Rohingya from the town of Merullah southern of Maungdaw city in Arakan State, and forced him to pay 400 thousand Myanmar Kyat under the threat of arrest; on charges of communicating with foreign media about inside Arakan. Earlier the same security official had imposed the same Rohingya man to pay 50 thousand Myanmar Kyat in an arbitrary manner past month, which was published by Rohingya News agencies around the world but now the Rohingya man was imposed with heavier fines.
