The Director General of Arakan Rohingya Union (ARU), Professor Wakaruddin bin Masihuddin met with George Sibley, the new deputy to the US ambassador to Myanmar at the State Department in Washington on Monday .
In a statement to Arakan news agency, Masihuddin said he briefed the new deputy at a meeting on the latest developments in the Rohingya issue and the tragedies by government forces and Buddhist extremists.
According to Masihuddin, the participants in the meeting presented great ideas on issues in Myanmar to the Deputy Ambassador.
