It raised the marginalization of the Association of ASEAN summit towards the issue of Rohingya in Myanmar despite dismay of many observers, especially the political and media elite of Muslims, who denounced this marginalization and calling a private investigation with the presence of Muslim countries at the summit.
The congress chairman of Arakan Rohingya Union (ARU) Taher Mohammed Arkani said, the marginalization of the ASEAN summit towards Rohingya refers to the problem of lack of seriousness in solving it, but its unwillingness in the solution, which means prolonging the case.
The ASEAN summit which concluded on28th April 2015, ignored the issue of the Muslim Rohingya and did not put in the basic attention discussing this issue despite the fact that a number of ASEAN countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Cambodia expressed its disaffected from the oncoming immigrants Rohingya from Myanmar to escape the security and economic situation.
The Director of Rohingya Media Center Salah Abdul Shakoor, says that ASEAN has not discussed for the second time despite the seriousness regionally and internationally, pointing out that the suffering of the Rohingya are still continuing in the absence of government recognition in Myanmar, and shed Buddhism bands on them also racial discrimination against them.
He added that the ASEAN leaders should realize that the solution to this humanitarian crisis to a large group of Rohingya citizens actively contribute to the establishment of peace and national economic security, and achieves the principle of justice between all factions and ethnic groups.
