The killing of a young Rohingya two days after the assassination of Muslim lawyer in Myanmar

A young Rohingya man was killed in Pauktaw township of Arakan state by the Buddhist extremists, apparently just two days after the murder of the prominent Muslim lawyer and senior NLD adviser in the city of Yangon.

The victim ‘s family said that their relative found the dead body in a nearby village belonging to the Buddhists, on his way to his village, located in Pauktaw a town near Akyab the capital of Arakan State.

According to one of the victim ‘s relatives, five were accompanied by the victim during their return to the village – the victim was lost in the lost from the rest then after the searching for him, he was found dead on the road later to be found with knife marks on his neck and face.

The victim ‘s family accused Buddhist extremists from a village which is located near the scene of the crime, where the violence broke out last year in which a Muslim child was killed and others suffered injuries, where the security forces were in support with Buddhists, according to a local.

The Arakan State in last couple of months witnessed sectarian bloodshed in which hundreds of Rohingya Muslims were killed, and thousands are displaced to the northern part of the state or fled to Bangladesh as a result of military operations launched by the government.
