A delegation of the Jordanian Rohingya Relief Campaign distributed the first batch of aid for the Rohingya Muslim carried out by the Hashemite Charity Organization and professional associations for refugees from Myanmar to Bangladesh.
The distribution of aid was carried out in the camp, the second largest of the 12 Rohingya camps in Bangladesh, after the Kutupalong camp, which includes about 200,000 refugees out of a million refugees, said Rami Shawawra, secretary-general of the Professional Syndicate.
He added that the delegation was briefed on the tragic situation and the difficult conditions experienced by the refugees, which lack the most basic necessities of life.
The delegation promised to continue the distribution of humanitarian aid in the coming days, which will include cooking tools and winter relief materials.
He added that the campaign continues until the end of the year to raise funds and contribute to meet some of the needs of living refugees and alleviate their suffering.
He pointed to the need for refugees to drink water and use clean, toilets, wells and many other relief items.
The delegation visited the Bangladeshi border with Myanmar and was the first to receive the refugees fleeing the killing, burning and extermination of the refugees in the border area of Tambru, which reaches hundreds of refugees daily, apart from the Anjumengara refugee transit station.
