The Director General of the Union of Rohingya Arakan (ARU) Professor Wakar Uddin bin Masihuddin received an invitation from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to participate in the 44th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization, which will be held in Abidjan, capital of Cote d’Ivoire next Monday.
Dr. Wakar Uddin received the letter on behalf of the OIC Secretary-General, Dr. Yousef Al-Othaimeen, inviting him to participate in the session to discuss the situation of the Rohingya Muslims and the acts of murder, abuse and displacement by the regime’s forces in Myanmar and the Buddhist majority.
The organization has put the issue of Rohingya Muslims within the framework of the conference, which will be discussed at the session, said the official spokesman of the organization, Ambassador Tariq Ali Bakhit.
