Rohingya refugees document the presence of mines laid by Myanmar at the border

The Rohingyas documented photographic evidence during the flight about the presence of landmines planted by the Government of Myanmar on the border with neighboring Bangladesh.
One of the displaced said he and his companions saw landmines in a border village between Myanmar and Bangladesh on Sunday morning.
The refugee, who is currently in Bangladesh, documented a video he said he had filmed earlier that day in Tumbro, Myanmar, near the border with Bangladesh. Two of the landmines appeared on the ground as the Rohingya men took pictures of it.
Three of the Rohingya refugees were killed on Saturday in a landmine explosion when they tried to cross from Myanmar, according to Bangladesh border guards. A non-governmental organization official said two others were injured on Sunday.
International organizations have condemned the Myanmar authorities for planting anti-personnel landmines along the border with Bangladesh.
Amnesty International said this increases the appalling situation in Arakan and notes the indiscriminate use of lethal weapons by the Myanmar army along the busy roads near the border with Bangladesh, which seriously threatens the lives of ordinary people.
