A Rohingya fisherman was killed and another seriously injured during a hunt by the Myanmar army in the north of the city of Maungdaw on Tuesday.
According to Rohingya sources, the fishermen were in the river NAF fishing before a Military vessle approaced them and started shooting at them.
One of the fishermen jumped into the water in an attempt to flee but the authorities arrested him while the other was shot, the sources said.
The man arrested said the army had taken away one million Kyat for his release while the villagers retrieved the body of the other man.
