Mr. Alam’s sister Fatema Khatun said, “on Sunday the troops pulled out my brother from home and later we found him lying unconsciously with gun-injury.”

Expecting proper treatment, they crossed the Bangladesh-Myanmar border via Jadimura point in the morning. He was pronounced death at 9:00 at A-Block, Leda Camp before receiving a treatment that they took dangerous journey for.

Teknaf OC (Investigation) Sheikh Ashrafuzzaman said: “Teknaf police sent the body to Cox’s Bazar Sadar morgue for autopsy around 3:30pm.”

He said: “We recovered the bullet-hit body of the Rohingya man. We could not figure out how and when he entered Bangladesh.”

Leda Rohingya Camp Management Committee Chairman Dudu Mia said: “Shah Alam had already been shot when he entered into Bangladesh territory early Monday. He took refuge in the camp where he died around 9pm.”
