Rohingya: From Stripped Citizenship to Erased Identity

The Rohingya’s suffering continues, rooted in decades of discrimination that was institutionalized by the 1982 Citizenship Law, which rendered them stateless. Their hardship has persisted even under the control of the separatist Arakan Army in Rakhine State.
