The Council of Nationalities of the Myanmar Parliament (Supreme Council) called for the suspension of aid coming from some international organizations to Rohingya Muslims in Arakan State.
The parliamentarians said the aid goes to the Rohingya rebels who are resisting the security forces during raids in Muslim villages.
Parliamentarians also called for legal action against the rebels, the Myanmar News Agency reported on Thursday.
Parliamentarians also suggested that the UN Security Council be informed of this, so that the support and assistance received by what it described as terrorist groups would be effectively suspended.
