Relief projects for the Rohingya by Hayat Foundation in the Eid al Adha

Hayat Foundation has implemented humanitarian relief aid for Rohingya Muslims in Arakan State of Myanmar, in coordination with some Rohingya activists there on this Eid ul Adha.
The foundation’s director Abdul Aziz bin Mirdah said the first project was the distribution of sacrificial meat targeted to a number of neighborhoods in Maungdaw and Buthidaung, and the number of sacrificial animals are 67 sheep and 7 cows from which more than 1180 Rohingya people benefited, while the other projects were the Eid clothing and renovations of the madrassas to help children’s education.

Bin Mirdah expressed in a statement to Arakan News Agency (ANA) that the need was very urgent in Arakan for such projects because of poverty, hunger, disease, injustice and oppression Buddhist, and also in response to their cries to save them.

For his part, one of the activists from inside Arakan preferred anonymity said “Sacrificial project was held for the first time in the village, with coordination and follow-up by the Foundation and the Rohingyas were in great joy during the ritual slaughtering and distribution of meat.”
And the people of the beneficiary villages of projects raised their palms to thank Allah Almighty and the philanthropists for such relief projects for the poor at a time of the siege and oppression by the Myanmar government.

A reminder that Hayat Foundation has set up several relief projects in Arakan State in the past which were Iftar projects in the fasting month of Ramadan also the project for Eid clothing and distribution of Zakat al-Fitr and the holy Quran, which were targeted to a number of neighborhoods and villages in Arakan.
