Protest in Indonesia for Rohingya Muslims

Indonesia’s hardline Islamic defenders front protested against the Buddhist Monk Ashin Wirathu, the leader of infamous extremist Buddhist movement in Myanmar known as 969, which led to anti-Muslims violence and discrimination against Rohingya Muslims.

Also displacement of 140,000 Rohingyas from their home to Internally displaced person (IDP) camps.

The protest was held in front of the Myanmar embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia, May 27th 2015.

Thousands of Rohingyas Muslims from Myanmar had tried to flee and land in Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia since the Thai governments crackdown on Human trafficking in early May led to trafficker crews abandoning them at Andaman Sea.
