The waves of Rohingya exodus from their villages and areas in Arakan state continue towards the border areas due to continued violence against them.
Correspondents reported that hundreds of Rohingyas from the cities of Maungdaw and Buthidaung had fled north to the villages bordering Bangladesh, after a three-day trek through rugged roads in bush and dense forest for fear of Buddhist gangs.
Since the outbreak of the crisis on August 25th, at least 529,000 Rohingyas, most of them children and women, have fled according to the United Nations, and are still in a tragic situation, whose needs basic necessities like food, water, medicine and shelter.
