OIC: keen to find a solution to the Rohingya issue

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has confirmed its commitment to finding a solution to the issue of Muslim Rohingya and Muslim minorities in the Philippines, Thailand, Central Africa, Sri Lanka and Europe.

Dr. Yousuf Al-Othaimeen, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), made the remarks at a meeting of the General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah on 5 and 6 May 2018.

Al-Othaimeen added that the organization is keen to confront the false and malicious ideas about Islam through its initiatives to monitor and address Islamophobia through the Observatory of Islamophobia in the Secretariat and an information strategy to confront this phenomenon.
The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) said that the organization is making strong efforts to consolidate the values ​​of dialogue, communication, coexistence and the maximization of human rights. He also mentioned Pope Benedict XVI, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the Coptic Orthodox Church.
