Myanmar authorities have imposed heavy fines on the six Rohingya children in the town of Merullah Southern Maungdaw city, according to the correspondent of the agency, adding that the authorities had detained the six children for several hours on fabricated charges of theft from inside a government warehouses before being released in exchange for exorbitant amounts of money.
One of the parents of the children said “You cannot go near such places, they are heavily guarded by the security forces, so we reject this charge which was affixed without any evidence. He added, the goal is clear of such false charges brought by authorities which do not spare even our young children, the goal is financial blackmail, despite the narrow and extreme poverty in which Rohingya people live here.
