US President Barack Obama urged the Myanmar government to make every effort to reach a cease-fire and respect for minority rights and so a few hours of meeting the President of Myanmar, the Supreme Commander of the Army Thein Sein with the opposition parties and leaders of sectarian minorities before.
Some critics say that the meeting on Friday, which has been prepared in a hurry is an attempt to beautify the image of Myanmar before the visit by the US President to the country next month, which is his second visit.
And comes round table to be held in Myanmar’s capital Naypyidaw meeting, the first of its kind at a time when the peace process with the stumble by ethnic rebels and the central concern of the United States of human rights violations, including journalists and suppression of the Rohingya Muslims who are imprisoned without nationality and other ethnic minorities.
The US White House said Obama spoke by telephone to the President of Myanmar on Thursday and urged him to “make every effort to reach a national agreement for a ceasefire soon.”
