Buddhist extremist groups trying to create chaos in Arakan State west of Myanmar in areas inhabited by minority Rohingya through the launch night attacks and accusing innocent Rohingyas supporting rebel groups and pitting the police and the army to force on them, these moves come after a spate of threats by Buddhists monks from ethnic Rakhine over the past months, also increased the frequency of these threats after the formation of a special committee by the current government to look into the issue of Rohingya headed by former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan.
A number of observers of Buddhist movements come in the context of the creation of disrupting public order and block any efforts seeking to grant Rohingya their rights, especially after the formation of the special committee to consider the issue Rohingya and also demanded the government to support the governments of ASEAN countries to resolve the Rohingya problem, all these endeavors dissatisfy Rakhine Buddhists to race against time to put obstacles in front of these political reforms in the country.
It is worth mentioning that Rakhine Buddhist groups strongly rejects any revisions to put Rohingyas in the country and seek with all their means to exclusion and ostracism Rohingya outside their homeland Arakan.
