The Director of the Arakan Rohingya Union (ARU) Professor Wakar Uddin bin Masihuddin commended the awareness of the Turkish people on the issue of Rohingya Muslims and their interest in them and their knowledge of the situation of the refugees in Bangladesh.
This came on the back of the meetings held in the building of the Turkish Foreign Ministry in the capital Ankara.
Masihuddin met a number of officials and academics and described the meeting as excellent and great. “They are very knowledgeable about Rohingya and Arakan, from inside out,” he said.
“We are all Arakan – just like you,” Masihuddin said, referring to one of those present at the meeting.
