The Arakan News Agency has expanded its media and news partnerships in Egypt with a number of newspapers and channels to coordinate news coverage on the news of the oppressed Muslims of Myanmar and the news of refugees in the diaspora.

During the media tour conducted by the Director General of the Rohingya Media Center Mr. Salah Abdul Shakour this week as he met with a number of editors of the Egyptian newspapers such as Al Ahram, Al-Akhbar, Al-Fath, Al-Ain, CBC, etc.

These meetings were coordinated on the news of the Rohingya minority and the mechanism of communication with the Agency. He also participated in press interviews in these newspapers and some channels. He explained during his press interview what the Rohingya minority are subjected to persecution and ethnic cleansing practiced by the Myanmar army, referring to the situation of the Rohingyas on the border, sorted the large influx of Bangladesh living difficulties and many humanitarian wadding during his visit to the refugees last month.

In his press address, Al-Shakur praised the great role played by the sheikh of Al-Azhar and its ongoing and material support for the Rohingya issue, pointing out that these efforts feel the Rohingyas in the spirit of one body and have a great impact on them.

The Rohingya media is a vital and important source of news for the Rohingya in light of  media blockage practiced by the Government of Myanmar on the news of the Rohingya minority in Arakan state.
