The United Nations’ UN official, Abdelhamid Siam, accused the United Nations Secretary-General of being one of the perpetrators of the prolongation of the Rohingya crisis.

Siam said Antonio Guterres was one of the reasons why the world was frustrated last year because he remained silent on many issues, particularly what happened to the Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar and the subject of Israeli violations against the Palestinians.

Siam said Guterres came from the background of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, and soon confronted the US administration headed by Donald Trump and his ambassador, Nicky Hayley, and began to intimidate the administration and not want to collide with it. When he got this position he promised to be a strong voice to defend the United Nations, The peaceful resolution of conflicts and the lifting of the banner of mediation and negotiations, but it also failed so much.

Siam described Guterres ‘s post as a farce when the US ambassador asked to withdraw a report describing Israel as a racist apartheid state, or that he could not appoint Salam Fayyad as his envoy in Libya.
