The International Relief Organization (IRO), registered in Germany, has concluded a rights campaign for Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh under the slogan “Burma,” in which it gathered live testimonies on violations and ethnic cleansing through a specialized committee of human rights activists and journalists from several countries, including Bangladesh.
“The project is aimed at transferring the tragedy of the most oppressed minorities in the world to the stakeholders in order to shoulder their responsibility for the suffering of the Rohingya because of the tragic situation they are living in,” said Mamdouh Badawi, head of the agency.
The campaign was launched on December 20th and lasted until the 25th of the same month, and Badawi stressed that these testimonies will be pressed on the decision-makers of the United Nations and human rights bodies.
International journalist and well-known author, Ephon Ridley, from Britain, participated in the campaign and spoke in her articles about the situation in Myanmar and camps for the displaced.
The ratification of the documents was under the supervision of MP Yousef Agisa, Chairman of the Committee of the Algerian-Bangladeshi friendship Mamdouh Badawi, head of the International Relief Agency IRO and in the presence of local and international media.
