About 10,000 families in flood-affected areas in Myanmar were distributed food parcels donated by the “Islamic Relief” organization, in addition to providing mobile health clinics in the affected areas.

And also more than 100 people were killed, in addition to the destruction of 15,000 house and the closure of 1200 schools as well as the displacement of thousands of people.
Islamic Relief provided aid and assistance in cooperation with its local partner, the Heart organization which has provided food parcels to about 10,000 families in the state of Arakan and it includes all foods like rice, beans, canned fish, pasta, cooking oil and salt.
The distribution of the parcels, which are designed to be sufficient composed for a family of six members and last for 30 days earlier this week in the regions of Akyab and Buthidaung.
“Islamic Relief” has announced its intention to provide two mobile health clinics, which will be managed through the boats, which will provide emergency medicines and medical services for about 10,000 affected families in the coastal areas of Arakan State.
Islamic Relief began working in Myanmar since 2008, in the wake of Cyclone Nargis, in addition to emergency assistance it also offers a huge programs to promote ways of living in the country, which suffers from poverty.
