In the western state of Arakan, the central government forces stormed the villages of Rohingya on last Monday, raiding several houses, confiscating valuable items, and arbitrarily detaining Rohingyas.

According to ANA correspondent, members of the Special Security Forces and the members army of Camp No. 70 stormed the town of Boli Bazaar, north of Maungdaw, Arakan state. They searched about 15 houses of the Rohingya in a provocative manner. They confiscated a number of valuable items during the search, and other forms of vandalism.

The reporter added that two elderly Rohingyas were subjected to arrest, beatings and torture by the members in a humiliating manner, and then released in the evening.

An eyewitness confirmed that similar practices occurred two days ago in the same town, indicating that the government in Myanmar continued its humane violations against the Muslim Rohingya minority in the Muslim Holy Month of Ramadan.
