Myanmar authorities published a list of the names of Rohingya villagers from Maungdaw city, and asked them to pay a fine of one million Myanmar kyat under the false accusations of having links with militants those have carried out attacks on police stations on 9th October 2016.
According to a source of ANA that seven Rohingya villagers were surprised by the receipt of their names on a list published by the police, asking them to attend for questioning in connection with a fine of one million Myanmar kyat, one of them, pointing out that the villagers have no connection or any knowledge of attackers, and they do not have this money, which caused them to flee out of fear of violence and torture against them.
It is worth mentioning that the government in Myanmar has blackmailed Rohingya financially on a daily basis in order to starve them and forcing them to leave their towns and villages.
