Myanmar’s ambassador to the Russian Federation U Ko Ko Shein said his country faces international terrorism backed by international news agencies such as Reuters, the BBC, The Times, the Guardian and other media.
Komsomolskaya Pravda said that a media war against Myanmar was taking place and that Reuters had lied about more than half a million Rohingya refugees, and that this was completely unreasonable.
He denied that his country was committing genocide against Rohingya Muslims, but admitted that Arakan is one of Myanmar’s poorest regions, where unemployment is very high and the situation is precarious.
This comes at a time when Myanmar faces charges of genocide of Rohingya Muslims, and the use of all weapons to kill women, children and the elderly.
